avz
Hi people! First of all let me say two things: the first is that I don't speak Romanian and the second is that I would like to have your advise. I live in Israel and I own a car which is known here as Daewoo Racer( it is a 1994 car, as far as I know it is based on the Opel Kadett, its engine type is G15MF, 1498 cc) attached 3 pics of it, please have a look. I know that the successor of this car (from 1995 on) was called here in Israel "Super Racer" and it is what you know as the "Cielo". I would like to ask any information regarding it. I've turned to Daewoo Korea or what's left of it, but to no avail. Waiting for your comments. Link to comment
Mircea
Hello. The car was sold in Romania also as Daewoo Racer until 1995 and is a copy from Opel Kadett. Is a rare car in Romania and I don't know if anybody can give you technical information about it. Try to see if there are some similarities with Kadett. Link to comment
Dj_Dark
As far as i know the engine does not have injection. Link to comment

I'm glad that I found somebody that knows the car. from my search I found that it was named differently in several countries. if I got it right, it was named also as LeMans. as far as I know there are quite a few variations from the Opel Kadett so, I dont think that it will help. I would like also to ask if anybody has some information regarding it's OBD system. I know it is an OBD1 and I wonder if some member of this site knows how can I build (I know my way around electronics) a device which will be able to connect to a pc and let me read it's codes. ANY informatiom will be very helpful. As far as i know the engine does not have injection. Hi IT does have injection. I think that it is one of the differences from the original Opel Kadett. besides, the engine -G15MF - the same engine that at least some of the Cielo's are equipped with Link to comment
dflorescu
You can try to built this electronic device: http://www.gmclub.ro/forum/uploads/post-16...33120_thumb.jpg for connecting to ECM. Also, you can try this software: http://www.gmclub.ro/forum/index.php?showt...=388&st=260 http://www.gmclub.ro/forum/index.php?act=a...ost&id=4841 it's name ALDL we are using for interpreting codes for Daewoo Cielo (or Nexia, is the same name), Espero, Lanos etc. For this, you'll need a laptop with serial port (not USB or USB-serial adaptor !!!). Also you can find a russian MS-DOS program named daewoo.exe for interpreting the codes (I can't find right now) using the same interface. Remember that we doesn't tested until now this on a Racer model, so you can not espect to solve your problem, but it can help you. Link to comment
avz
Hi In succession to my post, please let me introduce two pics that I took of the ALDL socket and one of the ECM plate. maybe that will help. Thanks again. I would to ask if somebody is willing to translate my request into Rumanian and place it in the forum so that it will be exposed to people that are not reading the "English corner". Could you please give the main image link? my Cielo OBD1 interface seems a little different. The A, C, F, G, H and L pins are used and the others are empty, but every where in pictures, ALDL needs pins A, B and E. So my question is which pin (of A, C, F, G, H and L) I have to use instead of A, B and E? I have also attached my OBD1 photo Link to comment

It was really impressive for that time (middle of 90s) in Romania - very comfortable, spacious and with a very nice upholstery. After about 15 years the car was sent to scrapyard because the company changed its auto park. It was still running, but had some problems with the gearbox. In my opinion you have two options - get rid of the car or make it like new Link to comment
